Our album 'From the Ground Up: The Chaconne' released on Signum Classics last year has been chosen as the Gramophone Concept Album Award winner! What an honour!

Behind any creation, there are many wonderful people involved. Beautiful spirits and artists that embraced the challenge and the risk of experiment.
A special thanks to you all – you made this fantastic journey possible!

The Concept Album Award was only introduced last year to acknowledge the special creativity that goes into making a recording which is greater than the sum of its parts, where a series of individual elements combine to make something truly compelling. O/Modernt and Hugo Ticciati's 'From the Ground Up' is a masterly, century-hopping exploration of the ground bass or chaconne done with terrific flair and imagination.

Thursday August 6th 2020

We are delighted to welcome Maxim Belčikov as O/Modernt’s General Manager.

At O/Modernt we will be taking our next steps – or indeed leaps – under the watchful guidance of our new general manager, Maxim Belčikov. This year is our tenth anniversary, and we were hoping to celebrate it in style at the summer festival – an artistic feast that will now take place in 2021. Instead, we bring our glasses together to toast the appointment of Maxim, who is delicately poised, ready to reawaken O/Modernt from its gentle sleep.

I am thrilled to be joining the O/Modernt family, and working with Hugo Ticciati and the rest of the team to expand and develop O/Modernt’s unique vision of the arts as a positive force for renewal. I eagerly wait to help bring the joy and fulfilment of live music back to our audiences, and to help shape the diverse artistic activities that are built on the O/Modernt philosophy of personal and artistic connectivity.
—Maxim Belčikov
