Born in Turin Cellist Claude Frochaux is a sought-after and passionate chamber musician and has performed at renowned festivals and venues. He has collaborated with distinguished composers including Olli Mustonen, Pēteris Vasks, Thomas Adès, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Arvo Pärt. Founder of Monte Piano Trio, recipient of several international awards, has been broadcasted on radio stations across Europe. He is a frequent guest with leading ensembles such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe or as guest principal cellist with Ensemble Resonanz. At the University of Augsburg, he teaches chamber music. He is the artistic director of Kammermusikfest Sylt, an annual international festival on the German island since 2012. He also founded MUSICA+ at the Orangerie in Frankfurt am Main, a musical initiative that aims to introduce a wide variety of people to classical music through chamber music-, school- and children’s- concerts, as well as workshops. He plays a cello by G. F. Celoniato from Turin in 1720.
