The second of this year’s Winter Festival alumni concerts, produced by graduates of Lilla Akademien, presents youthful works by three composers: Lili Boulanger’s Two Pieces for Violin and Piano; Shostakovich’s Five Pieces for 2 Violins and Piano (arrangements of early incidental music) and his first Piano Trio; together with Mendelssohn’s symphonic Octet, written when the composer was just sixteen years old.
