Oscar Treitleris a Swedish-American violinist based in Sweden. He is a member of the Treitler Quartet. The quartet performs at festivals and concert halls around Sweden and has made tours to England, Italy and France. The quartet made it’s debut in the string quartet series of the Stockholm Concert Hall in 2018 and is currently studying at the NSKA in Amsterdam thanks to the support of the GålöFoundation. In 2016 they were awarded the Ensemble Scholarship from the Swedish Royal Academy of Music. Oscar studied in Stockholm and Bloomington with Henryk Kowalski and at Universität Mozarteum with Igor Ozim. He is a prizewinner of the Wronsky Solo Violin Competition and the Jan Wallander Prize in Sweden. As an orchestra musician Oscar is guest concertmaster/second concertmaster of Norrköping SO, Gävle SO and Gothenburg SO. He has performed as a soloist with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Gävle Symphony Orchestra and DalaSinfoniettan.
