Laura Stephenson is the solo harpist in the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, a position she has held since 1992. Born and raised in Kanada, Laura studied primarily for the renowned Judy Loman. 

Very interested in contemporary art music Ms Stephenson has worked since 1990 with Sweden’s foremost ensemble in the genre, KammarensembleN, participating in many gramophone recordings and international festivals.

Laura has been an active chamber musician playing in several festivals in Sweden and Finland as well as giving regular performances in the Stockholm Concert House chamber music series. 

Ms.Stephenson is lector of harp at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
